How to set and achieve your fitness goals!
Whether you are trying to lose weight, improve muscle tone and strength, or just want to look and feel better, the programming and coaching at True Fitness is here to help! It’s not about just setting goals; it’s about incorporating healthy eating and exercise as a part of your routine and lifestyle to achieve optimal wellness.
The first step is setting S.M.A.R.T Goals:
Specific – State what you will do, use action words
Measurable – use metrics/ data points
Achievable – make sure the goals are realistic and within your scope
Relevant – they make sense for your lifestyle
Time Bound – State when you will complete your goals, be specific
Once you have established S.M.A.R.T goals, now what?
- Look into improving the quality (Fresh foods) before you dig into “quantity” too much, as this can go a long way.
- Establish a baseline. Ex. Body measurements (Fit3D)
- Journal your current average caloric/ macronutrient intake using My Fitness Pal. Keep track of daily food intake and exercise.
- Talk to a Coach (firstname.lastname@example.org) who can give you feedback on your goals and help you start to develop a plan. Figure out what works for your lifestyle and remain consistent! Remember the last thing to grow on a fruit tree is the fruit. Be patient!
